Acts Acquisition & Development Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for the role of Director of Construction Services.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and directing all aspects of site development and regional construction teams. Works closely with leadership to define construction strategy, drive execution, and deliver results and business goals. Builds and grows overall construction operation, team, and culture. This position will work closely with all areas, including construction operations, development, design, and finance.  Requires traveling up to 80%.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Builds, leads, develops, and monitors teams at designated sites.
  • Promotes and inspects for quality assurance.
  • Travels between locations to provide onsite support and assist communities in the event of emergency situations.
  • Manages the design development of all assigned construction projects.
  • Generates bid packages, competitively bids construction projects, and negotiates contracts for construction with outside vendors.
  • Plans, schedules, organizes, directs, and controls construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
  • Responsible for budget planning and long-range strategic planning.
  • Supervises general construction contractors and sub-contractors.
  • Supervises architects, engineers, and designers.
  • Ensures all job site activities comply with company safety policies and procedures, as well as with OSHA/EPA requirements.

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent amount of experience
  • Five years of progressive experience in commercial construction supervision/project management
  • Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, schematics, documents, and specifications
  • Knowledge of building codes and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and regulations
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
