Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Accountant.  This position is located at our Corporate Services Center in Fort Washington, PA.


In this role, you will be responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze and prepare financial information and reports for monthly, quarterly, annual, and regulatory processes.


Essential job functions:

  • Prepare journal entries for month end and year end close.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for the operating, payroll, and other assigned accounts.
  • Prepare, analyze, and record journal entries related to intercompany entries for the various companies.
  • Prepare, analyze, and record accrual and prepaid entries as needed for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare, analyze, and record journal entries related to deferred contract and deferred financing costs.
  • Prepare and process annual unclaimed property filings for various states.
  • Assist communities regarding budget variance and general accounting questions.


The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in general accounting; public accounting a plus
